SWEET JESUS YESI know some parts are a little looser than the rest- I was feeling sick on and off, so some parts are a little off. But whatever I’M DONE I’M DOOOONE. I’ll post the portraits of the Mane Six in 15 minutes!

Upcoming Show at L.A.’s Key Club: RAW Artists Solstice!
Hey guys! Next month, I will part of RAW Artists’ Solstice at the Key Club! Here are the details:
- Date: Saturday, June 16th
- Time: 7:00 PM - 10:30PM
- Location: Key Club (9039 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles)
- Cost: $10 for one ticket
Every month, RAW Artists showcases young, creative artists in the fields of visual art, fashion, music, hair & makeup, and photography. So, not only will you see artists like myself, you can listen to some great music, see what young designers are coming up with, and get your hair done while you’re there. I have only recently joined this group, and I’m extremely excited about it!
You can buy your tickets HERE (and see the other artists!). Remember, when you buy your ticket, select JM Tolman under ‘Artist You’re Supporting’. The more tickets I sell, the less I have to pay for my booth!
I will be selling prints, paintings, ACEOS, paper dolls, jewelry, zines, and maybe a few surprises at this event. Hope to see you guys there!

So I Heard You Liked Humanized Ponies: Part One
I had a massive art slump a couple of weeks ago, and I thought humanizing a bunch of ponies would help. It did, but it was not the fast project I thought it would be. Granted, I thought I only had 20-30 characters in the file, not…52. 52. What was I thinking?
Anyways, I did these in my looser style, so I know there are mistakes. I mostly focused on shape variety, and keeping them cute without turning them into Ariel clones. I don’t think I completely succeeded, but I do like the way they turned out, and I did have a lot of fun!
These are five of the eight rows I had (Yes, Chrysalis got her own row). I’m working on the last three this weekend. Here are the character coming up next:
- Row 5: Sapphire Shores, Octavia, Gilda, Flim-Flam Bros, Big McLarge Huge
- Row 6: Big Macintosh, Granny Smith, Fancy Pants & wife(?) (not sure what her fanon name is!), Spa Twins
- Row 7: Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Shining Amour, Princess Cadance, Prince Blueblood, Zecora
- Annnd some portraits of the Mane Six that I’m probably going to finish + post tonight, since they’re fairly simple.
